This publication accompanies the AMAM exhibition of the same name (February 2–May 29, 2016) and is the first English-language museum catalogue of Judit Reigl's work. An essay by Denise Birkhofer, Ellen Johnson '33 Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, explores the themes of corporeality and music found throughout the artist’s work. An essay by musicologist Benjamin Perl draws parallels between the lives of Reigl and Mozart, a composer she admired. A foreword by museum director Andria Derstine outlines the significance of the AMAM's exhibition. The 172-page catalogue also includes an illustrated checklist of works in the exhibition; a selection of writings by Judit Reigl, translated into English for the first time; and the artist’s biography and exhibition history.
